Hey everyone! I'm Kanami. Today, let's talk about vending machines.
みなさんは、じどうはんばいきをしっていますか？ にほんのじどうはんばいきは、とてもとくべつです！
Do you know what a vending machine is? Japanese vending machines are really something special!
じどうはんばいきは、まちのなかにあります。 いろいろなじどうはんばいきがあります。
Vending machines are found all around town. There are all kinds of vending machines.
まずおかねをいれます。 そして、すきなものをえらびます。
First, you put your money in. Then you choose what you want.
ものがでてきます。とてもかんたんです。 とてもべんりです。
And your item comes out. It's really simple. And so convenient.
わたしはじどうはんばいきがすきです。 にほんには、じどうはんばいきが たくさんあります。
I love vending machines! Japan has a huge number of vending machines.
どのくらいありますか？ しっていますか？ とてもたくさんあります！
Just how many are there? Do you know? So, so many!
まちのなかに、よくあります。 えきのなかにもあります。 こうえんにもあります。 びょういんのなかにもあります。
You'll find them all over town. Inside train stations too. In parks as well. Even inside hospitals.
かいしゃのなかにもあります。 ほんとうにいろいろなばしょにあります。
And inside office buildings. They really are everywhere.
にほんのまちで、 じどうはんばいきをよくみます。
Walking through any Japanese town, you'll spot them constantly.
のみたいとき、すぐにかえます。 これはとてもいいですね。
When you want a drink, you can get one right away. That's pretty great, isn't it?
さて、じどうはんばいきでなにをかいますか？ のみものがいちばんおおいです。
So -- what can you actually buy at a vending machine? Drinks are by far the most common.
みずもあります。おちゃもあります。 コーヒーもあります。ジュースもあります。
There's water. There's tea. Coffee and juice, too.
いろいろなのみものがあります。
So many different drinks.
でも、のみものだけではありません！ アイスもあります！ あついラーメンもあります！
But -- it's not just drinks! There's ice cream too! Hot ramen -- yes, really!

Surprising, right? Japanese vending machines are genuinely fascinating.
じどうはんばいきには、 つめたいのみものがあります。 そして、あたたかいのみものもあります。
Vending machines stock cold drinks. And hot drinks too.
ふゆは、あたたかいのみものがいいですね。 さむいひに、あたたかいコーヒーをのみます。
In winter, a hot drink is perfect, isn't it? On a cold day, a hot coffee is everything.
あたたかくて、おいしいです。 なつは、つめたいのみものがいいですね。
Warm and delicious. In summer, cold drinks are what you need.
あついひに、つめたいジュースをのみます。 つめたくて、おいしいです！
On a hot day, an ice-cold juice is perfect. Cold and delicious!
じどうはんばいきで、 すきなのみものをかえます。 ふゆもなつも、じどうはんばいきはいいです。
At the vending machine, you can buy the drink you like. Winter or summer -- vending machines are great.
にほんのじどうはんばいきはあんぜんです。 じどうはんばいきをこわすひとはいません。
Vending machines in Japan are very safe. Nobody damages them.
おかねをとるひともいません。 だから、まちのなかにたくさんあります。
Nobody steals from them either. That's part of why there are so many out in the open.

Japan is a very safe country. And vending machines are part of that.

You can use them without any worries at all. These days, you can also pay with a card.
